Ennepetal. With the acquisition of the two companies Advanced Entry Systems in the USA and ADRS Solutions in the UK, DORMA has taken another step along its growth pathway while also further enhancing its position as a trusted global partner for premium access solutions and services. The two new members of the DORMA Group strengthen DORMA’s presence and expand its service network in their respective markets.
“First-class service and a strong presence around the world are key factors driving the success of our DORMA 2020 growth program. These two acquisitions therefore represent further important progress in the right direction. We have already taken over 18 companies since the start of 2010. These latest transactions are therefore numbers 19 and 20 – impressive figures that show how serious we are with our ambition to expand our service capability and our presence so as to take us closer to our customers,” says DORMA CEO Thomas P. Wagner.
In the UK, DORMA has acquired the company ADRS Solutions, an established partner and provider in the UK service market offering a wide range of activities from maintenance and repair to revamps and rapid screen work. The company is headquartered in Cambridge and currently has 45 employees. Since its establishment in 2011, ADRS Solutions has grown rapidly and now offers comprehensive, design, installation and maintenance services. Following other recent UK acquisitions in the form of the companies Aluspec and Ascot Doors, this takeover means that DORMA can further build on its position in the UK market as a single-source supplier of complete solutions capable of meeting the full range of access control requirements.
In the USA, DORMA has further expanded its presence through the acquisition of Advanced Entry Systems (AES), a division of the Stoner Electric Group. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, AES is one of the largest independent suppliers of automatic doors in the Pacific Northwest. Its product and service portfolio offers a seamless fit with DORMA’s range of premium access solutions and services. AES sells, installs and maintains automatic doors, revolving doors and associated products. The partnership with AES, coupled with the recent acquisition of security solutions supplier Farpointe Data, will allow DORMA to provide an even broader spectrum of products and services to customers in the American market.
