Ennepetal/Essen, Germany. With the XS Pro family, DORMA is able to offer electronic access solutions in all the usual variants. Whether in their Online, Offline or Access on Card configurations, XS Pro components can be parameterized to match any requirements profile. At security 2014 in Essen/Germany, DORMA is presenting its complete range – cylinders, fittings and readers – in a variety of application scenarios.
New for security 2014, the range also now supports credentials using the HiTAG reading system (128 kHz reader integrated), in addition to the previous options of Mifare Classic/Desfire and Legic Prime/Advant. The access permission is checked right at the door in the Offline mode, by AoC (Access on Card) or through Wireless Online. Covering all options, the DORMA access control software MATRIX XS serves as the ID credential management system.
The cable-free access components can be installed without intervention in the building fabric. And the need to replace cylinders because keys have gone missing is also assigned to the past. Lost credentials are simply and centrally cancelled via the MATRIX “nerve center.” This web-based software also facilitates the generation of individual, time-related and room-specific access profiles. It further provides a permanent overview and audit tracking of the access profiles stored in the readers.
The battery-operated radio unit integrated in the XS Pro components opens up a range of functionalities that can be readily applied to all kinds of situations – individual doors, small business environment, medium-sized enterprise or major corporation – with Offline, Access on Card and Wireless Online all supported.
The XS Pro components are mutually compatible, with each offering the same functional array. The system can thus be expanded at any time, with combined bus-wired and online options if required. Similarly, the digital door cylinders and fittings of the DORMA XS Pro family can be seamlessly integrated into the MATRIX access control system. Retrofits delivering all the benefits of a high-quality access control capability can be readily performed without the need for any cabling work or mechanical changes to the doors.
Moreover, the many different models and options that make up the XS Pro family ensure that a tailored solution can be found to meet any door requirement, without any trade-off or compromise in everyday operability. Whether in the form of a cylinder, a door fitting or a flush-mounted reader, the XS Pro components embody all the advantages of small size and inherently discreet elegance.
In addition to offering suitability for external access applications, they are also available in the models EE (emergency exit), FF (fire-rated), WR (water-resistant), and VDS (anti-intruder/property insurance). And they can be fitted with a removable external knob.
