Located in Melbourne’s Docklands, 700 Bourke Street is a pivotal new 16 level commercial workplace for the National Australia Bank (NAB) and includes retails facilities. The site location, between Southern Cross Station and Etihad Stadium, generates incredible footfall, while its position beside sunken train lines allows the entire west façade of the building to be visible from the city. Built on a triangular site, the architecture embraces the triangle as its primary visual motif. The rooftop has a wonderful garden terrace which offers a green contrast to the urban setting, while a continuous triangular atrium between levels two and fourteen allows natural light to permeate the design.
DORMA assisted architects Woods Bagot with the door and hardware specification for this project which was completed in 2013. DORMA products included in the project were Revolving doors, Automatic sliding door operators, TS93 door closers, mortice locks and levers to name just a few.
