Safety + Security

In projects, the highest priority is assigned to ensuring that emergency escape routes, while still offering undelayed egress in the event of a hazard, are secure against abuse. Two different systems are currently vying for the national market: a lock and handle or pushplate per EN 179 (emergency exit device), and the panic exit device per EN 1125 in which a horizontal bar extends across the entire width of the door. more…
