DORMA acquires distributor in Turkey

Activities on the Turkish market permanently strengthened

Ennepetal/Istanbul. The internationally active door system manufacturer DORMA has taken over MILENYUM KAPI VE PENCERE TEKNIKLERI SAN VE TIC A.S., Istanbul. “The acquisition of the MILENYUM sales and distribution company provides the DORMA Group with an important platform for further growth in the Turkish market,” explained DORMA CEO Dr. Michael Schädlich. Founded in 2000, MILENYUM has at its disposal a dense sales and distribution network of trade specialists as well as outstanding expertise in the important project business in relation to products in the door closer, door automation, glass fittings and accessories, and safety technology segments. DORMA’s Turkish subsidiary Kapi Kontrolleri Ltd. has been co-operating successfully with MILENYUM as a distribution partner since the beginning of 2006. MILENYUM currently has a workforce of 24 employees and generates annual sales in the region of 4.5 million euros. The existing management of the company is to be taken over unchanged. The official domicile of the merged DORMA and MILENYUM team is Istanbul. By exhausting identified synergies within the DORMA network, this step will enable the joint activities of the companies to be permanently strengthened within the Turkish market. more…
