Interior design down to the last detail with OGRO Create
Lever handles, window handles and pull handles semi-customised per architectural requirements
Ennepetal/Germany. Architects committed to their art are, in many cases, no longer satisfied with simply determining the general design lines of the buildings that they are required to create. Rather, they endeavour to achieve harmony throughout by also specifying the details such as the lever handles, window handles and pull handles. As the specialist door fittings manufacturer of the DORMA Group, OGRO has proven to be a perfect partner to architects in the practical implementation of their design ideas.
With its "Create" program initially launched at BAU 2003, OGRO is able to offer architects wishing to plan and implement their projects on an all-encompassing, last-detail basis, the means to realise this dream within a realistic time frame.
At the IEM in Cologne, the company is presenting a current example of just such a cooperation in the form of the ZS 8951 lever handle series in stainless steel.
The elegant and beautifully crafted creation stems from the pen of architects and designers Claudia de Bruyn and Uta Cossmann was developed for inclusion in the generously appointed DKV Retirement Home in Bremen. The apartments in this facility account for a total of 800 window handles and 1200 lever handle sets.
The straight lines of the handle shape in each case are complemented by an oiled oak insert which not only provides a vivid contrast to the cool metal but also offers a warm, thoroughly hand-pleasing surface. Other types of wood coordinated with specific interior designs are also available for different applications – for example in office rooms or hotels.
