The wall that comes out of the ceiling
The salient feature of this vertically operable partition system is that it can be stowed invisibly above the suspended ceiling for maximum space-saving efficiency. This is particularly useful if the layout design precludes the installation of a horizontally sliding partition, for example in narrow passageways. Varitec vertical partitions from DORMA Hüppe are ideal for banks and foyers, shop fronts and malls, railway stations and airports - indeed wherever high security is required in conjunction with a modern appearance.
In Varitec systems, the individual elements are guided by vertical profiles. A floor rail is not required.
The Varitec partition offers anti-lift and anti-leverage protection to discourage intruders and prevent vandalism. Particularly narrow horizontal gaps between the elements eliminate the nip hazard so fingers will not be trapped. The contact strip integrated in the bottom slat causes the system to stop immediately on obstruction detection.

Different surface finishes available
Glass elements of intrusion-inhibiting laminated safety glass create a harmonious atmosphere thanks to their transparency. They can be further enhanced with screen printing, sandblasted effects or a wide range of artistic designs. The individual elements can also be optionally constructed using aluminium panels for outstanding robustness and total visual obscurity. The aluminium panels are usually painted in RAL colours, but other finishes are possible including veneers, laminates and adhesive-bonded mirrors - indeed almost any surface effect can be created.
