"Neue Weimarhalle" conference centre
Taking the layout and traditions of the historical old building as their basis, architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners have created an architectural and functional masterpiece in the form of the new "Weimarhalle" conference centre. DORMA Hüppe movable walls constitute an integral component of their nested "hall within a hall" concept.Prominent FeaturesDORMA Hüppe movable walls constitute an integral component of their nested "hall within a hall" concept. They embrace the large conference room - the inner "timber hall", this being surrounded by an outer "glasshouse" offering full transparency to the outside world. The Variflex TOP Automatic movable walls add to the flexibility that is so vital for modern conference management purposes. If the Variflex partitions are opened on both floors, they reveal the panoramic view of the outside to those inside the "timber hall". At the push of a button and within just a few minutes the capacity of the hall can thus be doubled from 700 to 1400 seats. The seminar rooms can also be combined to produce different sizes - thanks to the incorporation of DORMA Hüppe movable walls. |
