Alfredo Kraus Congressional Palace and Auditorium

The Canary Island Convention Center is the final touch to one of the best city views in Las Palmas in the Great Canaries, whipped by the Atlantic Ocean’s waters. Óscar Tusquets had in mind an isolated fortress, separate and very different from the architectural context around it. It is a work of enormous dimensions, based on a volcanic rock pedestal that became a living rock in the hands of the sculptor Juan Bordes.

Pure beauty and functionality are not at odds here. Likewise, in the 13,200 m² of useful surface there are 11 rooms with different capabilities for all needs, from a meeting for 20 people to a major congress or convention for more than 2,500.
Together with these rooms there are major spaces for relaxing and pleasure, facilities that include an outdoor area of the buildings throughout the maritime tour in an area where there are all kinds of chances to enjoy stores, restaurants and excellent hotels.
