Beijing – At BAU Congress China from June 23 to 24, DORMA presented the latest global innovations for the first time in the Asia Pacific, including new glass door fittings for swing and sliding doors, and digital locks with holistic solution from commercial to residential applications.
Inheriting the same theme “ACCESS TO INNOVATION” from the DORMA booth at BAU Munich in January this year, DORMA at BAU Congress China in Beijing showcased global innovations like MATRIX AIR electronic fitting, MUNDUS patch fittings and MUTO manual sliding door system, as well as RIGEL, the new digital lock with fingerprint, keypad and RFID access control. DORMA Cam Action Easy Open technology, as represented by the lately introduced new product ITS 900 concealed door closer, was also displayed for customers to feel the comfort and convenience.
MUTO is the new manual sliding door system with unique self-closing function and integrated electromechanical lock activated by remote control. MUNDUS glass patch fittings, awarded with iF Design Award 2015, offer unique design and finishes that open up boundless possibilities for interior glass door design, up to a maximum loading of 200kg and glass thickness of 22mm. Both MUTO and MUNDUS have special application for Laminated Safety Glass. Among all the new products presented by DORMA at BAU Congress China, digital solution had drawn most attention from visitors. As the thinnest electronic fitting, and winner of the prestigious iF Gold Design Award, MATRIX AIR was very well received at BAU China. RIGEL digital lock which was specially designed and developed for the Asian market, made its first appearance to the world at the fair with German Design Award Nominee 2016 status. MATRIX AIR and RIGEL together provided a broad range of digital solutions for commercial and residential applications, with a combination of different mortise locks and access control options.
As a leading provider of premium access solutions, DORMA already achieved outstanding reputation in commercial applications around the world. Now, as described by the theme “From Commercial to Residential”, DORMA expands the portfolio with products meeting local customer needs and local standards for residential homes in Asia.
Another highlight of the DORMA booth in Beijing was the Power Station, which attracted hundreds of visitors. Guests were invited to a challenge for the highest number of pushes on the DORMA lever handle within 30 seconds. The competition added a lot of fun and excitement at the booth, and it demonstrated the confidence of DORMA behind the quality, reliability and durability of DORMA lever and locks. By the end of the two days’ challenge, over 72,000 pushes were achieved with 233 trials, and the lever handle was still as strong and sturdy as it was at the first push.
The exhibition presented DORMA brand values of innovation and excellent quality, holistic solutions and hassle-free products with aesthetic design. Once again it demonstrated the position of DORMA as a market leader in the industry.
