Ennepetal, Germany. One German team player will be at every game of the UEFA European Football Championship of 2012 – from the opening match in Warsaw right through to the final in Kiev – for door systems manufacturer DORMA from Ennepetal has equipped all eight European Soccer Cup stadiums in Poland and Ukraine.
In the newly built Donbass Arena in Donetsk, Ukraine, for example, a complete software package from DORMA will be constantly working away in the background. Inside the stadium, resplendent like a diamond with its oval shape and its completely glazed façade, the DORMA security systems MATRIX and TMS will be responsible not only for access control but also for video monitoring and emergency exit security.
With the architects from Gerkan, Marg & Partners having opted for door closer technology from DORMA for the modernised Olympic Stadium in Kiev, DORMA systems will again be permanently in play, enhancing the comfort and convenience of players, officials and spectators inside the ground’s facilities.
And in the other venues at Lviv, Kharkiv, Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk and Warsaw, DORMA solutions will be equally hard at work. The opening game takes place on June 8, 2012 in the National Stadium in Warsaw.
