DORMA to showcase new brand identity at Bau 2013

DORMA-specific design ensures high recognition value of premium products

Ennepetal. How are doors going to be opened and closed in the future? What kind of design will access solutions adopt? What form will smart, integrated access concepts of tomorrow need to take if they are to continue satisfying the ever-increasing demands on safety, security, energy-efficiency and barrier-free operation?

At Bau 2013, Munich's construction trade fair from 14 to 19 January, DORMA will be providing answers to these questions and more, exhibiting products and design studies to provide insights into the global solutions of tomorrow's world. Under the trade fair motto "From Today to Tomorrow", this provider of premium products will – in its two-storey pavilion at Stand 518, Hall B1 – also be showcasing its integrated systems complemented by an array of innovations.

The Munich trade fair has also been chosen as the venue of a special DORMA première: For the company headquartered in Ennepetal, Germany, will be unveiling its new brand identity to the trade community for the first time. The DORMA brand is defined by the values Hassle-free, Holistic, Design & Aesthetics and Premium Quality & Innovation.  The combination of these attributes enables the company to pioneer new developments in access solutions: And now, all its products are to have a DORMA-specific design that ensures a high level of awareness and recognition.

“Our customers will be able to see at a glance that they are using a product from DORMA," says Thomas P. Wagner, CEO of the DORMA Group. “As the trusted global partner for premium access solutions and services, we need a powerful brand that embodies high innovative strength and a clear vision of the future. This lies at the core of our DORMA 2020 strategy and will enable DORMA to differentiate itself even more effectively from the competition as we move forward.”

Visitors to the trade fair will be able to acquaint themselves not only with the new brand strategy but also with the wide range of products and solutions offered by DORMA, exhibited at Bau in four broadly themed settings.

The first themed area covers solutions for stadiums and other major sports venues. DORMA is able to offer many years of experience in this domain. Among other things, the company was responsible for equipping stadiums for the World Cup soccer championship in South Africa, the European Cup soccer championship in Poland and Ukraine, and sports venues used in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London.

The second and third themed settings fall under the headings “Office/Residential” and “Hotel”. These are segments in which DORMA has long offered integrated, holistic product solutions “circling the door”. The fourth setting – located on an especially built upper storey – offers visions of the future. Here, trade visitors can look forward to seeing a range of product and design studies with some surprising insights into the products and solutions of tomorrow's world.

In addition to regular architect tours around the exhibition stand, DORMA together with a number of other partners is sponsoring a “Night of Architecture” on January 18, 2013. On the agenda that night is a visit to well-known buildings in Munich featuring DORMA product solutions.  Guests taking part in the event will also have the opportunity of forging contacts with the planning and design architects responsible.
