Dubai/Ennepetal: DORMA opened doors to its 280 square meters, unique showroom ‘World of Access’ amongst the presence of DORMA Group’s Board Members, DORMA Gulf employees, customers, and the media in Dubai. The store is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, ensuring easy accessibility.
The showroom concept is far more than a shop for DORMA product portfolio. It is an expression of its strong brand identity, characterized by true innovative prowess and a clear vision of the future embodying the company’s values of ‘Hassle Free’, ‘Holistic’, ‘Design’, Aesthetics’ and ‘Quality and Innovation’.
DORMA Gulf generates sales of 52 million Euros and employs over 320 people presently. Thomas P. It was a poignant and emotional moment when Stephanie Mankel, shareholder of DORMA said “When my great-great grandfather, Rudolf Mankel, together with his brother-in-law, established DORMA in Germany in 1908, he could never have dreamed that his great-great granddaughters would be opening a DORMA Showroom in Dubai more than 100 years later. He could also never have dreamed that his family, now in its fourth generation, would still be in the architectural hardware business, with a globally structured, multinational group boasting 6,700 employees, operations in more than 50 countries and sales of a billion euros plus”.

The Show room will serve the architectural design community with information, guidance and direct experience on doors, hardware and access technology. It will also provide accredited continuing education programs, instructional sessions, product and service introductions, and additional events serving the design community.
DORMA is the first company to introduce this novel showroom in the region, the first of which was opened in New York in December 2012.
By far the biggest projects DORMA is currently executing in the region includes King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), KSA with a whopping 8 million euros. In addition, DORMA is executing prestigious projects namely Dubai International Airport Terminal 4 and Doha International Airport where the deliveries are under the progress.
