The new Accident and Emergency building in Navarra Hospital has four floors plus a basement. In addition, the rooftop serves as a heliport.
The ground floor and part of the first floor are taken up by the Accident and Emergency Service, almost three times the space as it passes from the current 700 square feet to over 3,000. Also, the number of boxes is doubled with respect to current, from 8 to 16, and the number of observation beds will, in turn, change from 10 to 15. Also it has two radiology rooms, and a TAC team (scanner) and an ultrasound.
The DORMA door closers have been installed on the upper floors while automatic door operators and panic hardware can be found on the first floor and basement.
Also, DORMA has developed several customized solutions:
- In the area of the boxes, several automatic doors have been installed, designing a continuous cover for all doors.
- Automatic sinker doors were installed.
- Panic hardware has been provided for automatic fire and evacuation doors.
