DORMA Design Center to Host NY Energy Week Closing Ceremonies June 27

Sergej Mahnovski, director of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability, will address closing ceremonies for New York Energy Week June 27 at the DORMA Design Center, 1040 Avenue of the Americas, 22nd Floor, in Manhattan. Mr. Mahnovski and other ranking energy leaders from the mayor’s office will speak on the city’s programs for long-term energy strategy.

New York Energy Week, founded and managed by Energy Solutions Forum, is a city-wide initiative supporting development, investment and collaboration across many sectors of the energy industry. Among more than 20 events that begin June 24 are a forum on energy asset management, an examination of oil and gas market perspectives, and an energy entrepreneurship reception. One innovative gathering, the NYEW Energy Data Jam, brings together New York-based business leaders, entrepreneurs, technologists and investors to brainstorm new applications and products that use government Open Data.

New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has officially endorsed New York Energy Week, stating that "New York is at the dawn of a new age of innovation in energy that will ensure our continued economic and environmental leadership in the 21st century and beyond... we commend Energy Solutions Forum for its commitment to developing clean energy strategies and for bringing New York's energy community together with this week's events."

DORMA's commitment to green manufacturing and operations is consistent with its support of New York Energy Week. The company is honored to provide a venue for this important public policy initiative.

The closing ceremony is open to the public; advance registration is required. To request an invitation, visit http://nyenergyweek.com/schedule/ and click on the request box under NYEW Closing Ceremony.
