Turning the Key on a Memorable Security Show

Last week’s ISC West show drew more than 23,000 attendees to visit 1000-plus manufacturers. Those visitors represented virtually every segment of the security distribution channel, including dealers/installers, specifiers, systems integrators and a large proportion of security end-users. Wherever those security experts looked, the power of technology to transform their work was front and center. DORMA and its Canadian partner RCI could not have been more at home in that context.

DORMA’s sleek, brand-new booth display invited visitors to try our new proximity readers featuring an LPP Access Control System. The same was true of our MAGNEO linear magnetic drive operator. (We’re used to that; MAGNEO technology always wows the crowd.) And many guests were impressed by the SS4000-S3 security revolving door, which combines Crane’s elegant all-glass styling with secure antitailgate/anti-piggyback features and a next-generation overhead 3D camera system for single- and multiple-person detection.

Four lucky attendees won iPad Minis at the DORMA and RCI booths. A scratch-off card handed out by our hostesses revealed a digital code. If the contestant’s code opened the secure doors at either booth, the iPad was theirs.

With an increase in attendance of more than 10 percent over last year, the excitement on the floor at ISC West was obvious. It was great to be there – and to share new DORMA/RCI contributions with the world’s security elite.
